Someone at MicroSoft is off its rocker!

Don't let Microsoft kill Paint - they should educate people better on how to use it so that people will fall in love with it.
I create just about all my content on Paint. I've gone to great strides of assembling an assembly of fonts that seem to compliment my posts.
I wonder if there is any kind of opposition of any kind, a petition started to force Microsoft to keep Paint?
Why not just Introduce a tablet-only feature that compliments Paint that will only work on a surface pro for instance.
Think of new ways of making Paint hip among the HIPSTERs! Pspppffftttt p.s. those same 20 somethings and 30 wonderkinds who buy the latest and greatest smartphone.
You should be embarrassed that you haven't come up with something reasonably functional on a mobility smart phone. It's been pretty logical since before the mishap into thinking you could make and launch a smartphone that everyone would go agog over.
First zip on over to Blackberry, to floundering revenue and draining product loyalty at a breakneck pace. They never thought about how to integrate the best apps onto their systems. Kinda like what HP didn't do with their tablets, but Apple did from the very start except with extreme standards and double flips that have to be done in order for it to be Apple approved, endorsed and adopted by hosting it on iTunes ..... where sometimes they promote something, other places accumulate favorites identification (which I previously talked about AI "Artificial Intelligence" should be more about the information that smart people scoop up based on where you hang out on line, what you write, where you post, who reads your posts, who shares them, who is easily identified as your supporter).
I think that the cause for alarm here is what AI "Artificial Intelligence" is all about. Every skips by the news stories about robotics without registering the fact that more and more robots are speaking and attempting to create its own personality, with its own thoughts and opinions.
Where it goes vague, or under cover, is whether it can emulate a real human being? For example, make appropriate responses as a human would, except it is not a human saying those things, it is a voice driven by AI to say all the expected things to say, appropriate responses with politeness, manners, permissions, that the most stellar customer service pro would expel.
Then, think about the grocery stores. How they are trying new and more clever approaches to have YOU buy/take your own packing bags + scan your own groceries in + provide helpful lookup on produce code all you have to do is enter in quantity then have payment ready to process like a marching soldier.
Me, I'm usually out of rhythm of the whole fiasco. I like to do things in order: Buy/shop, go to check out, put items in order of where they will end up in my home (i.e. pantry, refrigerator, space rack, etc.) with expertise of avoiding bread or other items from being crushed by the latest bag wrapper (if there is such a thing, as they dwindle in numbers);
Now they are asking that you go online and make a list of your groceries, the time you will arrive, and just pick up your order. I haven't tried that, but I would imagine you have to pay before your order arrives.
According to my Twitter numbers, I attract a youthful 25-34 group the most who look for quality and value over price and they will shop online if it is the quickest and easiest without any degree in drop in quality.
That's the crew that MicroSoft has given up on. Instead of using their imagination on how it can be cool and the must-have/use thing going?
That is where MicroSoft misses the boat that Steve Jobs created: sell the sizzle knowing that the steak was going to be even better than imagined or needing any boasting.

know the NUMBERS ........ UR numbers examined lately?
Maybe I've found my sweet spot
I've admitted to being a knowledge junkie, wearing it like a badge on most of my social media bios.
Giving a tip here and there
is something my readers ask for about social media, back in the day. I was channeling sales speak and advice left and right, then injecting a blog here and there about what I was learning on social media as my online personality grew.
If I were to Google my name
it would fall on to likely my LINKED IN profile first, consistently always. I do like to see where Google places me ::.... the first step in understanding your online audience with numbers.
KLOUT worthy of note
If you take a gander of your KLOUT Score these days, there are some really cool content sliding across your radar, so smoothly that it feels more like a natural, instinctive rational click. A feather touch not a heavy punch. If you pay attention to what is being shown to you, heed it. Klout is providing brands a much bigger wallop than even they may have not have bargained for. When Klout couldn't convince the money men [far less women, proportionately shallow] ... Klout continued to re-invent themselves. I would imagine they read and watched the numbers, and hardly registering what it was telling them. Lucky that they aren't afraid to try something new. ,,,...::-> copyright (c)
CHANCE is no accident
similar as LUCK being a blessing of sorts.
THOSE who make things happen
appear more like happenstance
You pay close attention
to what your numbers tell you.
Even if it is to watch numbers,
whether they rise or may fall.
CHANCE for fame+recognition
by degrees of authenticity in a world of disguise.
THOSE who take risks
by trial and separation.
Have the gift of raising softly
to the masses they resound and inspiration
rebounding .....
To resonate, inspire, educate, and help others
is the battle cry.
That creates a rhythm nation of those that inspire
Are you one?
Why don't you know?
You may not be reading the real numbers
hidden by so much fluff.
Your championship concludes
when quality outweighs quantity.
The knack for clicking winners
whom others quickly drift
towards .......
Do you pay attention to what I post to the right? The most being my blog total readership numbers. I have been transparent about that. I'm probably going to change my widget so that each blog is dated: if a direct plagiarism discovery would to surface, proof of date of publication would be captured on my blog.
With the beauty of translation, how would one know if someone is merely translating your content and posting it as there own?
I would like to think of a fairy tale dream come true where initially someone was just copying and pasting my content in a new and different language other than English, would be infringing upon my (c) Copyright as the creator of what has been repackaged, erroneously claimed.
Then perhaps by continually taking a look at numbers, I see what story they want to tell. In this case Brazil, so proud and at the same down trodden by hosting the Rio Olympics. Maybe I was attracted to the heart of the story: people overcoming major obstacles, to create a dream, and hearts beating as one. That was the true beauty of Brazil as my observation of anxiously looking for my Goddaughter's swim, to later discover she didn't make the cut [ as a Canadian record holder in Swimming whom nobody remembers or knows because of her teammates quick rise to fame: that Penny girl, with the long last name or difficult one to spell.
Have a look at this website whom I profess to read regularly as it is listed to the right -> I owe him a return email, and this shows procrastination at its BEST!!

SOCIAL MEDIA revisited FORECAST educated
I was wandering around social media, as I often do. Living a country song in real life: married to a Hunkster Hubster, my faithful companion Buddy [my Border Collie]; a productive week of sorts [battle my demon of "anxiety" caused by the realization that BULLYING is alive and well in some toxic corporate cultures that are so cloaked in manipulation and a play on words, causing it to be very difficult to prove::... EUREKA! After a great deal of reading, researching on a potpourri of organizations, help associations, evaluations, discussions and distinguishable by authentication by psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists or medical practitioners ] they all basically agree that IF YOU THINK YOU ARE/HAVE BEEN BULLIED you likely are/have. ]
Take a look at this YouTube post by my content source favorite: MASHABLE [which I reSHARE their content on Twitter faithfully, with never an acknow- ledgement of even a #RT never mind a #ThankYou hashtag on the feed. Once, I had someone who was very observant that I tended to share @Mashable content consistently asked whether I belonged to Mashable.com or an affiliate of a compensated kind: aka Brand Ambassador ].
HEREIN is my comment, nestled among three really stupid ones ::... which makes me ponder if only gamers pay attention to Mashable. Here I am a white, 50something, Canadian, Lady [how unique can one get on Social Media eh?] a solid follower of Mashable's since I can't remember when? Likely, far at the beginning when I just grooved to the beat of their vibes from their posts: unique, coolio, informative, positive or bizarre [pick your own perception of this really cool e-zine online!! ]. It is my intent to become a Brand Ambassador of sorts: which usually include:
- Informative, helpful, unique, inspiring, bizarre content under one umbrella
- A cache of intellectually stimulating content
- Attractive to a distinct, talented crew of writers, assemblers and ensemble
- Provides a wealth of information to sop up and absorb
- Has created a groove and a beat that resounds among a hipster or yuppy
- Is unrelated to race, country, politic, faith, color, educated or economics
- Has the gift of the spirit of sharing by creating share-friendly buzz
- Is more about the name "Mashable" than any singular contributor, artist, writer, innovator, video, mainstream oriented - NOT - material
- Eye catching wording or visuals, it begs to be clicked on
- Appeals to the curious, knowledge junkies, innovative, creative types.
Have a look with my comment after you take a look at the video link:
Brilliant!! [ HEY! Who are the Bozos commenting here? ] I noticed the clear tribute to Hyatt which is signifying that this was "sponsored by" Hyatt ::.... which in social media terms means: "PAID for by" .... I think that authenticity and credibility would go a far longer way if every Brand Ambassador, Blog, Website or Social Media Brand [ think: instaGRAM as what I consider "the universal endorsement" social media site ] ::.... if it was REQUIRED to show in Profile that u are paid by a Brand 4 what U tweet or share.
Another gem I uncovered while letting the content follow through on the headline after garnering a click:
It's no wonder the most prolific personalities or brands online are actively followed and sought. There is so much abundance of information that allows you to discover a deeper insight to your own being by what attracts you and then ultimately you attract in kind.
A giving bunch who belong to the inner sanctuary of the giving kind. Not of financial means, more often abundance thin by monetary value but rich beyond imagination by having something in common: helping others or helping the world become a better place.
By observing your own stats with some sort of frequency, if not any kind of regularity, you can reach and get in touch with what others want to hear from you about. Mine have been sitting there as plain as day or the sparkle of sunshine. Understanding what it means is a great discovery.
Take a look at the numbers. My consistent mass hails from Brazil. Maybe a sign that this is the place where my soul aligns. Or, if more pragmatic, objective observation is where you're inclined, the simple fact that Google's blogspot features easily translation, that removes restriction of reach by language distinction.
Brazil loves and keeps on giving the love to "Build a 30-60-90 Day Plan". More instructional than philosophical, it lays out how to do just that. Even to this day, Google is often my best online friend. As it gets to know me, successful results abound. Closer to what I have had in mind then my mind knew.
Taking a queue from my faithful crowd: what is the content they most enjoy or find of value? The ingredients to a successful sales path. Less philosophizing and more educational. You have a feel for what you are looking for whenever you are creating the content, the report, the analysis, the research, yet until you see it emerge does it create a spotlight.
I will proceed in the coming days on writing a more instructional blog on how to forecast accurately and consistently ::.... primarily geared towards the sales professional or those that aspire to be.

Game of Gnomes
I happened to capture this Tweet a few weeks back … and I’m not even online 24x7, not even an honest day’s worth of 8 hrs [I have a REAL life full time job] ….
I have found that the latest feature that has crept up and captured my attention, for whatever that is worth [these days=nothing] Twitter has started to encapsulate conversations and link the same twitter train (essentially, what it is doing, organizing profiles under the umbrella of a, let’s call it a “Master Tweet”. If you are lucky to be included with a large number of influencers, who acknowledge by a like [heart] or a reTweet [ #RT ] can cast a much larger web.
Lamb by Catherine Darling |
If you are a Bleater (a lamb’s annoying noise or cry) with content that lack substance are Bleater online …. a newly created word by me to describe online behavior that repeatedly shares lovely images of flowers, sunsets, beautiful vistas. A Bleater is a noun, as in a person.
Twitter is likely creating secret analytics and algorithm symphony to create the proverbial carrot scattered about among rabbits [ for the purpose of this story and theme, let’s say that the big BRANDS are rabbits ]. But for a uniqueness score and continued theme, brands will be called Grabbits. Grabbits could be Coca Cola, Tesla, or Trump Towers.
Grabbits are slowly developing a very large appetite for carrots. The carrots that rabbits cherish, evolved to the online, social media, world we still get a spellcheck or (insert name: Grammarly - who I use) whenever you type “influencer” or “influencers”. We can’t grammatically call them anything that sounds like SIRs because of the many GALs that share the same space. Yes, those cute, adorable, engines working to separate you from your money.
For ease of speech and spelling, the influencers are dubbed “The Doers”. These are the people that can make or break your opinion, the popular opinion of those online {amassing and growing by leaps and bounds). The “Masses” are the obvious ‘other’ people circulating and clicking.
The Doers have developed a positive brand, reputation with a steadfast, loyal following. With authenticity continually under question online, I see how Twitter is grasping, seeing the need that Facebook has accidentally stumbled upon (Stumpleupon is still out there, FYI) how a tribe does impact your vibe. The Doers are critical of themselves mostly yet avoid detractors, sociapaths, egomaniacs, etc. [if only to share sometimes as an interest not a direction nor an opinion].
Twitter is developing the ability to keep The Doers in the same circles, refining their recommendations for whom others should follow. Wouldn’t that be cool if you ended up on that few box list? They probably can cleverly guess who is more likely to have someone click on The Doer profile based on the demographic, clicks, followers of their followers.
I’d like to call the followers “A Flower”. A flower needs nourishment in order to grow into a great thing of beauty. So all my followers are now Flowers: I hope to be able to sprinkle a little sunshine on.
To understand this, do this simple exercise: find one of your favorite quotes, settle on your favorite art and send it out to 10 people whom you enjoy reading their Tweets, would like to go beyond a connection to an ENGAGEMENT and include them in the tweet.
This will land directly in their notifications category — MUCH MORE gratifying and appealing to see the numbers grow in NOTIFICATIONS on Twitter than the Private Messages {cluttered with Spam). SPAM is the negative description for annoying interruptions to your otherwise joyful cruise online. Seemingly, screaming at you, guaranteed to be annoying to you. A SPAM is a person, a post, a tweet that is self-serving only to themselves. Self-advertising as is often disposed by the Grabbits.
Viral highjinx is the new order of the day: let’s see if we can trick people to think this is a heartwarming moment that Flowers may grow, grabbed by SPAM paid for by Grabbits.

Salutations, congratulations and support nation on Linked In
SOURCE |
Now where can you brag about your career?
Promote your favorite cheer, quote or motivational image where it is welcome?
Where can some of your first followers, literally strangers, were drawn to connect with each other, to cheer em on hang out?
I think you may have guessed by now, I'm talking about Linked In.
Ahem, sorry about those bright lights up stairs, above here. I just am continuously astounded by the great things that come out of Linked In. As with fine wine, only appreciating more gracefully each year ... ahem, drifted off to midnight passing and my new year officially here.
Salutations and congratulations Paul ~impressive! I'm a big fan of data since "back in the day" selling clicks and at the forefront of the cloud with document management and storage. If you ever need someone who can speak to that topic, I'd be keen from the perspective of how I had to evolve from selling printed dots made first by ink, then toner to carving down quantities, producing more relavancy and using globalization to have on hand. Think security information from Calgary to New York, Toronto generated by London UK. Sorry, I got carried away thinking I was writing another blog ......
Of which here I am. Again. Making a point. Connecting with people is one third of the value from Linked In. I can expand on the other things. I just wanted to ask those questions and use an example of my own experiment of intertwining a personalized, customized message, based on the new connection (this being a VP of Data for a Fortune 500 corporation).
If you are going to network anywhere. Don't over think it too much. Be the person that everyone wants to be around, will tend to remember, and even better reach out with a problem that needed solving.
Don't let me get carried away (I am all of a sudden starting to reconsider what I have said as joking in manner that I have Attention Deficit Disorder when I'm online). When in fact, coming online is like putting a wannabe race car driver into a Porsche or Ferrarri (yes, I'd even let BMW give me a few bucks to edit out the other two and put their logo or luxury model picture here for a fee). One of these days, someone WILL catch on and actually pay me for inserting their logo and an considering an image, dependent upon receipt of funds.
It's a brave new world
The biggest employment bubble is spent online. Either creating conversations, interacting, writing, blogging, artistic expression, motivation, addictions, infliction, improvement, knowledge to be had for the taking by those curious enough to reach out. Experiment a little. Find your voice.
Explore the many passions
Just being discovered. A childlike curiosity and appreciation of wonder exudes from your pores. Just remember that your message may be bang on, your audience just hasn't caught on. It doesn't mean it won't. It may mean change it up, a bit.
Be patient
Because anyone who is worth anything will never say they got to where they are over night. Only unrealistic movies, which artistic communicators of dreams or drama made from fantasy, far beyond fact.
Uphold your integrity
as the greatest value you bring. Your word, your loyalty and your honesty are emblems of who you represent. Stay away from anyone who makes you uneasy or likes to crumble your dignity.
Be aware of wolves in sheep clothes
without gender a factor. The behavior being the same, the approaches likely different.
Be a cheerleader
for those whom you've aligned yourself with the talented. Be so happy for their success and raising star without worrying about hitching on it but waiting for your own.
Do not cheat on others
is much larger than a spouse. Your friends, your family, your parents, your friends, your colleagues deserve your respect. Do not take their ideas and make them as your own, without revealing their anonymity to guard their privacy.
Don't withhold your wisdom
because to share expands into greater wisdom. What did others learn from. What did you hear murmuring of acknowledgement.
Don't shout from the rooftops
unless a bitter, capitalizing scamster, annoying buzz to sound over the noise your reputation to have and to hold on to dearly, oblivious to whether anyone is listening, just relief from your rant you'll be. Sometimes causing damage, if nothing at least the reputation as a whiner or perpetual complainer is what you want to be known as.
It is the soundness of posture
and clearness in vision from others proclaim. You can do it if you love it and are passionate about or want to learn more about and have a common refrain. Whether that is by post, by quote or image of artistic creation expounds, be known for a goodness or a quality with honesty to build trust.

Follow the rules before you define them
Black & White Self-portrait wit glasses by Wix Photographer Juliette Jourdain |
"This above ALL: to thine own self be true."
~ William Shakespeare
(Hamlet)
LOL, I have to chuckle. I admit that I try a number of different online outlets or portals to connect and network. As I continue to explore, I extrapolate a lot of mistakes being made by a similar group of people.
It would appear as though the majority of marketers think that their prospective clients are dumb or tuned out. They think they are making the rules, when , in fact, they are breaking the rules. I thought of a few to get started to those who reach out to prospect for others to hire you as a social media expert.
Rule No. 1 Know your audience and what they are looking for
Rule No. 2 Lead by example
Rule No. 3 Ensure your follower to follow ratio is weighted by who is following you, not the other way around.
Rule No. 4 Try to get a few online influencers in your corner.
Rule No. 5 Be your own unique voice, don't try to say what you THINK others want to hear.
Rule No. 6 Be creative, be thought provoking, be visual
Rule No. 7 Don't try to build your acclaim by 3 degrees of separation
Rule No. 8 Do NOT plagiarize others' ideas and claim them as your own.
Rule No. 9 Give credit where credit is due
Rule No. 10 Say thank you, show gratitude, share appreciation
These rules can be expanded. I likely will. The main idea is to get started with the idea and then let things flow and the ideas evolve.
Rule No. 11 Test your ideas, check for traction, respond to interaction or reaction
Start at Rule No. 1 again. Like a snowball, go through the process again, see what you can attract and build upon as you go through the steps each time.
Rule No. 12 Comment to an idea originator if something they said, you tried, and share what worked, what didn't work.
Rule No. 13 You will only build a crowd once you fade into the crowd or are enveloped within one.
